Candidates must possess a full-time regular BE/BTech or equivalent engineering degree in the relevant discipline from an institution recognised by AICTE/UGC.

For the engineering disciplines, the minimum marks are:

  • General/EWS/OBC-NCL: 65%

Graduate Engineer vacancies are available in Chemical, Civil, Computer Science & IT, Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation and Mechanical disciplines. The notification provides an extensive list of degree titles accepted under each discipline.

Officer (Marketing) – Grade A

Candidates must have completed a two-year full-time MBA or Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration equivalent to MBA, with specialisation in Marketing Management.

The prescribed minimum marks are 60% for General/EWS/OBC-NCL candidates and 55% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.

Law Officer – Grade A

Applicants need either:

  • A graduate degree in any discipline along with an LLB; or
  • A five-year integrated LLB degree.

The LLB must be recognised by the Bar Council of India. General/EWS/OBC-NCL applicants require at least 60% marks, while SC/ST/PwBD applicants require at least 55% as prescribed for the qualifying degree route.

Law Officer candidates must additionally possess at least two years of cumulative post-qualification professional experience as on June 30, 2026, in specified legal areas.

An important condition for Grade E0 is that candidates possessing higher professional qualifications such as BE/BTech, MBA, CA, CS, CMA, MCA or PhD are not eligible for Diploma Engineer recruitment.

What Candidates Should Do Now

With 470 vacancies and applications closing on September 3, eligible candidates have a relatively short application window. Engineering aspirants should first confirm their exact discipline eligibility, while applicants for Marketing, Law and Quality Control positions should carefully verify their postgraduate qualification and experience requirements.

Candidates planning to appear for the September 24 CBT should also begin preparing simultaneously for the aptitude and domain sections. Since the Domain Knowledge section accounts for 50 of the 100 questions and the examination carries negative marking, focused subject preparation will be important. The notified September 15 admit card date and September 24 CBT date remain tentative and should be checked against any subsequent IOCL notice.
